Gas Safety Awareness Seminar

AIM

To provide the attendee with an awareness of gas safety and an understanding of the general requirements of Regulation 36 as laid down in the Gas Safety (Installation and use) Regulations 1998.


Objectives

On completion the attendee should have an understanding of: -

  • Their duties as the responsible person within regulation 36 of the Gas Safety (Installation and use) regulations 1998.
  • Determine what information must be included on the Landlords Gas Safety Record.
  • Understand the symptoms of Carbon Monoxide poisoning and the related danger signs.
  • Recognise the various suitable and non-suitable flue terminals currently available.
  • Have an awareness of basic flue principals.
  • Understand the importance of ventilation to gas burning equipment.
  • Be aware of qualifications which are required by contractors to undertake related gas works.
